To address the need of member NSAs for training new coaches at the community level, Hong Kong Coaching Committee will organise the fourth “Introduction to Sports Coaching Theory” course in January next year. The course aims to provide an introduction to the basic concepts of sports training theory and sports science for those who wish to join the sports coaching profession, and to equip trainees to become relevant sports coaches in conjunction with the special courses offered by the National Sports Associations.
To encourage coaches to continue their studies during the outbreak of novel coronavirus, the Home Affairs Bureau of the HKSAR Government will provide full fee subsidy to participants of this year’s Introductory Course on Sports Coaching Theory, who meet the attendance requirements and pass the assessment, and will be awarded a certificate and a full refund of the course fee.
The course (Course Code: Class 27) will be conducted in Cantonese on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 2pm to 6pm. We would appreciate your recommendation for coaches and athletes who are interested in attending the course. Please refer to the attached prospectus and application form for details.
