Hong Kong China Rowing Association

Jointly organized by the Hong Kong, China Rowing Association and the Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation (HK Island and Kowloon Office), the HK Islands & Kowloon Secondary Schools Competition – BOCHK Indoor Rowing Cup 2016-2017 was held successfully on 20 & 21 May 2017 (Saturday & Sunday) at Harbour Road Sports Centre.

This year, students from 60 schools with 1,019 students took part in individual events and 692 students took part in relay events. All students and audience enjoyed the excitement of the competition. There were 7 new records of the competition was produced under the high atmosphere.

Diocesan Boys’ School (DBS) beats the other schools to win the boys overall championships last year. This year, DBS keep their passionate and knockdown the other schools to win boys overall championship in succession!

For the girls overall championship, the situation was really unpredictable this year. Heep Yunn School (HYS) won the girls overall championship last year. And this year, Diocesan Girls’ School (DGS) and HYS are competing neck to neck and DGS was located in the 1^st place with 18 scores in advance of the girls overall after the races on day 1. In Day 2, DGS still making a hot chase in the 2000m individual events and team-relay events, and they won the Girls overall championship in this year!
