Hong Kong, China Rowing Association Congratulates all rowers at the 19ᵗʰ Asian Games, Hangzhou
The Hong Kong, China Rowing Association extends its heartfelt congratulations and recognition to all our rowers at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou. The determination and remarkable performance of each athlete has brought immense pride and honour to the Association and to Hong Kong.
While we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our gold medal-winning Men’s Pair, silver medal for Women’s Pair and bronze medal for Men’s Single Sculls, we also express our utmost respect and admiration for the results of the other crews racing during the 19th Asian Games. Four of which were in the medal finals, with the Women’s Four finishing 4th and the Men’s and Women’s Lightweight Double Sculls each achieving a 6th place finish in their events. The Men’s and Women’s Double Sculls both achieved a final 8th place ranking and finally, our Men’s Four achieved 7th and Men’s Quadruple Sculls finished in 8th in their respective events. The results also meant that Hong Kong, China finished 3rd in the rowing competition overall medal table at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou. The Asian Games serve as a platform to showcase the culmination of years of hard work, sacrifice, and unwavering determination and commitment and this was on clear display from all of our rowers in the Finals at Hangzhou.
Each and every athlete who competed in the rowing events demonstrated immense skill, resilience, and a strong spirit of teamwork. Their tireless efforts, both in their many months of training and during the intense competition, have all contributed to the success of the Hong Kong Rowing Team.
We are immensely proud of each athlete’s accomplishments. Their hard work, perseverance, and determination have set an inspiring example for future generations of rowers in Hong Kong. Their achievements in the Asian Games have undoubtedly contributed to the recognition and growth of rowing.
The Hong Kong, China Rowing Association remains committed to supporting and fostering the sport of rowing in Hong Kong. We will continue to provide opportunities, resources, and guidance to all our athletes and working in close cooperation with the Hong Kong Sports Institute, nurturing their talents and helping them reach their fullest potential.
